Our communities are facing so many challenges now. The rising cost of living has put immense stress on everyone, and demand for support is rising.

Together as MUFG colleagues, we can ease the pressure and empower our charity partners to be a force for good at the heart of our communities. Whether it’s supporting young people, helping communities become more sustainable, or supporting those struggling to make ends meet, we can ensure our charity partners continue to make an impact.

Last year, we had an incredible engagement in Fitprints for Good. 1,032 colleagues from 15 locations in EMEA covered more than 85,000 km, raising more than £100,000 for our charity partners, which included match funding from MUFG.

It’s a real testament to what can be achieved when we work together. And we are confident that we, as EMEA colleagues, will push ourselves even further this year! By taking part in Fitprints for Good, you’ll be supporting our charity partners below:


Serve the City

Charity partner name: Serve the City
Location: Belgium

Serve the City is a global movement of volunteers showing kindness in practical ways to people in need, namely: homeless, asylum seekers and refugees, elderly, people with disabilities, children in need, and victims of abuse. Serve the City partners with homeless shelters, refugee centres, and other associations, offering help and support. Serve the City creates events that mobilize many volunteers to serve in simple ways – sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more. Serve the city is the connection between the good intentions and talents of people who could volunteer and a meaningful opportunity to get involved. Serve the city has extensive experience of working with companies and organisations providing corporate volunteering.


Prodis

Project Name: Prodis
Location: Madrid

Prodis is a non-profit organization whose purpose is, among others, to improve the labour integration of young people with intellectual disabilities, research, and development of educational programs adapted to the needs and special forms of learning of its users.

On April 23 the Madrid office signed a collaboration agreement with Prodis. With this agreement, colleagues will: organise volunteering to teach a masterclass to the users and for events of the foundation (recitals, markets, special employment centre, etc.), look at the possibility of holding corporate events in the foundation building, and carry out informative actions on intellectual disability in any format (video, audio, written) for internal dissemination.

Their first collaboration was the young people of the foundation working on the production of MUFG Corporate items such as: umbrellas, backpacks, pens, etc.


L’amico Charly & Circolo di Giovanile Porta Romana

Project Name: L’amico Charly & Circolo di Giovanile Porta Romana
Location: Milan, Italy

  • L’AMICO CHARLY L’amico Charly helps 11 to 19-year-olds to address depression and mental health issues. MUFG have partnered with the charity since 2015.Through a range of activities, including a Japanese cultural workshop, homework support, and a foreign exchange game, MUFG colleagues have helped to boost the confidence and self-worth of these young people.

  • Circolo di Giovanile Porta Romana is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. They provide programs, trainings, and social inclusion activities designed to empower and integrate people with Down Syndrome into society


Alexandrov Children Center

Project Name: Alexandrov Children Center
Location: Russia

Based in the Vladimirovsky region of Russia, the Alexandrov Children Centre supports young children with disabilities and special needs, such as autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Opened in 1946 and redesigned as a specialist orphanage in 1987, it is home to more than 30 children aged between 1 month and 4 years old. Our team in Moscow has hosted many events and fundraisers to support the orphanage.


Les Petites Cantines (LPC) and Energie Jeunes

Project Name: Les Petites Cantines (LPC) and Energie Jeunes
Location: France

  • Les Petites Cantines (LPC) – A sociable and charitable canteen located in the 13th arrondissement, offering “pay-what-you-can” meals for isolated groups including migrants, the elderly, international students, refugees, single-parent families, and the homeless.

  • Energie Jeunes  – A nationwide charity combating inequalities in the French educational system and improving retention rates among young individuals in Priority Education (REP+) areas.


SENSES

Project Name: Senses
Location: Dubai & Riyadh, UAE

Senses Residential and Day Care Centre is the first and only residential care facility for children with special needs in the UAE and the Middle East. Senses provides round-the-clock care alongside rehabilitative and educational programs, including speech and music therapy, art, life skills, sports, and physiotherapy.

Through this nurturing environment, children from the age of 2 to 19 with mild or severe physical disabilities and Down Syndrome can develop confidence and new skills.

MUFG colleagues have organized several fundraising initiatives, such as a bake sale, Jeans Day, and an annual sports day to support the charity.


Parilti

Charity partner name: Parilti
Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Parilti is the first and only organisation in Turkey that supports children who are visually impaired. Founded in 2003, the charity journeys alongside children from the moment they are born until adulthood, giving them every opportunity to live full, independent lives. 

Their work includes supporting children as they learn alongside their peers in mainstream education. They also provide additional activities to promote young people’s self-confidence and independence, so they can participate fully in society.

The association has supported more than 1,000 children from various cities across Turkey, such as İzmir, İzmit, Bursa, and Denizli. Currently, around 200 children are benefitting from the educational support provided by Parilti.


The House Group

Charity partner name: The House Group
Location: Johannesburg

The House Group seeks to uplift the lives of disadvantaged, abused and neglected girls in Johannesburg. Thanks to MUFG’s support, it is training girls who live at The House Group Child Youth Care Centre to become professional bakers and also providing food to vulnerable people. By giving young women skills for life, the bakery project is helping to change their future for the better.


Big Alliance & City of London Highgate Hill Academy

Charity partner name: Big Alliance & City of London Highgate Hill
Location: London

  • Big Alliance: BIG Alliance was set up to strengthen links between businesses and community organisations, and educational institutions across the borough of Islington. MUFG colleagues provide their support by taking part in environmental team challenges, mentoring young people and not-for-profit leaders, providing skills-based volunteering, and raising funds. Key projects include BoardMatchLeaders in PartnershipYoung Minds Brighter Futures Programme, and Mentoring Works

  • City of London Highgate Hill (COLAHH): In London, we are supporting the City of London Highgate Hill Academy (COLA HH) to empower underserved students. With 58% of students relying on free school meals and many falling behind academically, this fundraiser aims to bridge these gaps. Partnering with Big Alliance, we are focusing on initiatives like career insight visits, skill-based workshops, and regenerating green spaces. Your contribution will directly support these programs, helping to shape a brighter future for COLA HH students and empowering them for success in their academic and personal journeys.
