Our communities are facing so many challenges now. The rising cost of living has put immense stress on everyone, and demand for support is rising.

Together as MUFG colleagues, we can ease the pressure and empower our charity partners to be a force for good at the heart of our communities. Whether it’s supporting young people, helping communities become more sustainable, or supporting those struggling to make ends meet, we can ensure our charity partners continue to make an impact.

Last year, we had an incredible engagement in Fitprints for Good. 1,032 colleagues from 15 locations in EMEA covered more than 85,000 km, raising more than £100,000 for our charity partners, which included match funding from MUFG.

It’s a real testament to what can be achieved when we work together. And we are confident that we, as EMEA colleagues, will push ourselves even further this year! By taking part in Fitprints for Good, you’ll be supporting our charity partners below:


Charity partner name: Serve the City

Location: Brussels

Serve the City is a global movement of volunteers showing kindness in practical ways to people in need, mainly: the homeless, asylum seekers and refugees, the elderly, people with disabilities, children in need, and victims of abuse. Serve the City partners with homeless shelters, refugee centres, and other associations, offering help and support. Serve the City creates events that mobilise many volunteers to serve in simple ways – sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more. Serve the city is the connection between the good intentions and talents of people who could volunteer and a meaningful opportunity to get involved. Serve the city has extensive experience of working with companies and organisations providing corporate volunteering


Charity partner name: Big Alliance & City of London Highgate Hill Academy

Location: London

  • Big Alliance & ColaHH Big Alliance: BIG Alliance was set up to strengthen links between businesses and community organisations, and educational institutions across the borough of Islington. MUFG colleagues provide their support by taking part in environmental team challenges, mentoring young people and not-for-profit leaders, providing skills-based volunteering, and raising funds. Key projects include BoardMatchLeaders in PartnershipYoung Minds Brighter Futures Programme, and Mentoring Works

  • City of London Highgate Hill (COLAHH): In London, we are supporting the City of London Highgate Hill Academy (COLA HH) to empower underserved students. With 58% of students relying on free school meals and many falling behind academically, this fundraiser aims to bridge these gaps. Partnering with Big Alliance, we are focusing on initiatives like career insight visits, skill-based workshops, and regenerating green spaces. Your contribution will directly support these programmes, including cultural capital opportunities such as educational trips and enrichment activities, helping to broaden students’ experiences and aspirations.


Charity partner name: L’amico Charly, Circolo di Giovanile Porta Romana & LILT Milan Monza Brianza

Location: Milan, Italy

  • L’amico Charly supports young people aged 11 to 19 in addressing mental health challenges, including depression and anxiety. MUFG has partnered with the charity since 2015, supporting initiatives that help build confidence, resilience, and self-worth. Activities have included cultural workshops, homework support, and interactive learning experiences led by volunteers.

    Recent contributions have supported the development of CV and skills workshops, which have created valuable opportunities for young people. Building on this success, the programme has expanded to include training placements with local restaurants and schools, enabling participants to gain practical experience and industry-recognised certifications that support future employment pathways.

  • Circolo di Giovanile Porta Romana is dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families through programmes that promote inclusion, independence, and wellbeing. Their work includes training initiatives, social inclusion activities, and specialised support services. Recent funding has contributed to psychological support programmes for individuals, as well as training for staff, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care and support.

  • LILT Milan Monza Brianza is dedicated to cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and patient support across the region. Their work includes awareness campaigns, screening programmes, psychological support services, and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing within local communities.

     


Charity partner name: Prodis and Fundación Tengo Hogar

Location: Madrid

Prodis is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the inclusion and independence of young people with intellectual disabilities. Through innovative educational programmes tailored to different learning needs, Prodis supports skills development, employability, and long-term integration into society.

MUFG colleagues contribute by delivering masterclasses, supporting foundation events, and raising awareness of intellectual disability through internal communications and engagement activities.

Recent funding has also supported scholarships for individuals with limited financial resources to access a supported training apartment programme. In this initiative, participants undertake a structured three-month independent living course, guided by specialised professionals, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for future autonomy.

Fundación Tengo Hogar supports women on their journey towards independence by addressing both practical and emotional barriers. A key focus of their work is providing psychological support to participants, many of whom face complex challenges that can impact their progress.

Recent contributions have helped strengthen access to dedicated psychological support services, complementing the organisation’s wider programmes and enabling women to build resilience, confidence, and the foundations for long-term independence.


Charity partner name: Parilti

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Parilti is the first and only organisation in Turkey that supports children who are visually impaired. Founded in 2003, the charity journeys alongside children from the moment they are born until adulthood, giving them every opportunity to live full, independent lives. 

Their work includes supporting children as they learn alongside their peers in mainstream education. They also provide additional activities to promote young people’s self-confidence and independence, so they can participate fully in society.


Charity partner name: SENSES

Location: Dubai & Riyadh, UAE

Senses Residential and Day Care Centre is the first and only residential care facility for children with special needs in the UAE and the Middle East. The centre provides round-the-clock care alongside a range of rehabilitative and educational programmes, including speech and music therapy, art, life skills development, sports, and physiotherapy.

Within this supportive environment, children aged 2 to 19 with mild to severe physical disabilities and Down syndrome are empowered to build confidence, develop new skills, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

 Recent contributions have supported the upgrade of the music room, creating an enriched therapeutic space where children can benefit from improved resources and engage more meaningfully in music-based learning and development activities.


Charity partner name: Les Petites Cantines (LPC) and Énergie Jeunes

Location: France

  • Energie Jeunes + Resto du Cœur is a nonprofit organisation that delivers evidence-based programmes in schools, drawing on behavioural science to foster students’ motivation, resilience and engagement, with the aim of improving academic outcomes and supporting school retention, particularly in underprivileged areas.

    Les Restos du Coeur: a charity founded in 1985 by comedian Coluche, dedicated to combating poverty through provision of food assistance and comprehensive social support (housing, access to employment, social inclusion) and helping over a million beneficiaries each year across France. 


Charity partner name: The House Group

Location: Johannesburg

The House Group is dedicated to uplifting the lives of disadvantaged, abused, and neglected girls in Johannesburg. Through its Child and Youth Care Centre, the organisation provides a safe and supportive environment where young people can heal, grow, and build a brighter future.

With support from MUFG, The House Group delivers initiatives that equip girls with practical skills and educational support. A key focus is the bakery programme, which trains participants to become professional bakers while also providing food to communities. This initiative not only develops employable skills but also helps to build confidence, independence, and long-term resilience.

Recent contributions have supported the training of a new bakery intern, alongside maths and science education for the girls. Together, these efforts provide a holistic support system that nurtures both educational development and personal wellbeing, helping to create sustainable pathways to a brighter future.


Charity partner name: Volkshilfe Wien

Location: Austria, Vienna

Volkshilfe Wien is dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing poverty and social exclusion through services that promote access to basic needs, opportunities, and social participation.

In Austria, one in five children is at risk of poverty, and 118,000 children under 16 cannot participate in sports due to cost barriers. This year’s Fitprints for Good fundraising will go directly to the Rudolf Hundstorfer Sports Initiative, which helps children from low-income family’s access sports by covering membership fees and essential equipment. This ensures every child has the opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and form lasting friendships, regardless of their family’s financial situation.


Charity Partner name: Alexandrov Children Centre

Location: Moscow

Based in the Vladimirovsky region of Russia, the Alexandrov Children Centre supports young children with disabilities and special needs, such as autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Opened in 1946 and redesigned as a specialist orphanage in 1987, it is home to more than 30 children aged between 1 month and 4 years old. Our team in Moscow has hosted many events and fundraisers to support the orphanage including clean-ups.
